With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jeanette A. Karas of Gurnee, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jeanette left this world on January 22, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Romano and Catherine Romano; and her husband George Karas. She is survived by: her children, Steve Karas (Sally), Karen Vitale (Michael) of Gurnee and Georgia Anderson (John Sr.) of Gurnee; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Vitale, Betsy Stranathan, Suzanne Anderson, John Anderson Jr., Vincent Vitale, Jenna Charbonneau and Sabrina Karas. She is also survived by her 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Chapel (410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fat Cat Rescue in Wadsworth, IL.
