James L. DeVries Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James L. DeVries of Gurnee, Illinois, who passed away on May 29, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph DeVries and Anne DeVries; and his sister Arlene (Bruce Coleman). He is survived by: his wife Lucille Ann DeVries; his children, James R. DeVries (Laura), Cheryl L. Moss (Doug), Joseph J. DeVries (Heather) and Laurie DeMeyer (Ray Siminak); his grandchildren, Ryan, Joey, Annie, Will, Elaina and Cole; and his brother Wayne DeVries (late Patricia). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, Community Affairs (Bldg 135), 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, Illinois 60064.
