He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Couvall and Georgia Couvall; his parents-in-law, Jack and Virginia Smith; his brother-in-law Frank; his sister Theresa Karigan; his brother-in-law George; his siblings, Theo Patterson, Loverne Couvall and Pete; his sister-in-law Donna Couvall; his nephew Jonathon Couvall; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Mitchell and Dr. Nick Rendziperis (Sadia Kuzmickus).
He is survived by: his sons, George, Georgie and Billy; his wife Jacquelyn Smith; his daughter-in-law Jenny; his grandsons, Georgie and Billy; his siblings, James Couvall (Janet), Patsy Rendziperis and Edna Mitchell; his uncle Frank Kuzmickus (Dee); his sons-in-law, George, Yiota Pantelopoulos and Voula Pantelopoulos; and also Jenny.
