It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esperanza Gonzales (Gurnee, Illinois), born in Riverdale, Illinois, who passed away on May 2, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Ruiz and Martha Ruiz (Torres); her husband Joseph L. Gonzales; and her children, Theresa and James "Toz" Gonzales.

She is survived by: her children, Patty Gonzales Vandergrift, Christine Gonzales, Timothy "Timo" Gonzales (Kim) and Tony Gonzales (Heidi Shumate); her grandchildren, Jeremy, Kristin, Riley, Rachel and Justin; and her siblings, Gloria, Susan, Peter, Ray, Robert, Frankie and Joey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
