With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmer James Zimmerman Jr. in Gurnee, Illinois, who passed away on August 25, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anita; and his parents, Elmer Zimmerman and Gertrude Zimmerman. He is survived by: his children, Ann Lowe of Las Vegas, NV, Jim Zimmerman (Debbie) of Lake Villa, IL, Mary Ellen Laufenberg (Chris) of Dubuque, IA and Mike Zimmerman (Andi) of Mequon, WI; and his grandchildren, Joe Smrdel (Krista), Anita O'Connell (Patrick), Jacob Laufenberg, Krista Viertel (Tony), Elmer James “EJ” IV, Alison and Benjamin Zimmerman. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
