He was predeceased by: his wife Gaynor Hertlein. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Hertlein and Kimberley Komen (Scott); his granddaughters, Alexandria and Kylie; and his siblings, James "Jim" Hertlein (Lisa) and Heidi Stone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and other beloved family members, friends.
