With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Benson of Gurnee, Illinois, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on November 25, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Johnson and Reinhold Johnson; her brother Russ; and her children, Mark and Nancy.

She is survived by: her husband David Smith Benson; her sons, Greg (Gerri), NJ, David (AnnMarie), Doug (Leslie) and Russ (Gemma); her grandchildren, Carly, Emily, Cameron and Grace; her sister Nancy Rollings (Tim); her nephews, Andrew (Leigh) and Ben Rollings; and her close friend Richard Perez of Gurnee, IL..
