William Mooney Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Mooney of Groveland, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on June 27, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Mooney and Marian Mooney (Strohecker); his wife Lisa Stocking of Groveland; his children, Tara Davis (Cory) of Morton, Heather James of Etowah, Tenn and Michael Mooney of Pekin; his grandchildren, Brian (Emma), Kaleb, Parker, Tysin (Kayla), Jesse, Jakinzzie, Arianna, Nytika and Zayden; his great grandchild Josiah; and his siblings, Jeri Broge (Doug) of Cedarville, Steve and Mark Mooney. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
