Phelps (Groveland, Illinois), born in Lake City, South Carolina, who passed away on January 23, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Marvin Cribb and Idell Cribb (Harrell); her husband Lloyd L. Phelps, Jr.; her children, Carolyn, William, Sharon Thomas (Ken) of Tremont, Karen Underwood of Groveland and Stephanie Stecken of Groveland; her grandchildren, Josh Thomas (Jesse) of Mackinaw, Toby Thomas (Tiffany) of Rochester, Minn, Meghan Stecken (Jacob Spring) of Washington and Morgan Stecken of Morton; her sisters, Eva Rector of Hollywood, MD. and Angelina Garret (Glen) of Summerville, S. C.; and her sister-in-law Norma Carson of Orland Park, Ill.. She was also cherished by four step-great grandchildren; and five step great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
