He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McCarter and Ellen Doyle McCarter; his siblings, John Roy, Charles Marcus, Vernon Earl, Eugene Doyle, Joseph James, Merle Edward, Carl William, Mary Rose, Elizabeth Ellen, Helen Marie and Freda Mae; and his granddaughter Michala Rose McCarter.
He is survived by: his wife Lee McCarter of Griggsville, IL; his sons, Tom McCarter of Griggsville, IL, Tony McCarter of Griggsville, IL and Aaron McCarter of Griggsville, IL; his grandchildren, Ashley, Keagen, Trevor, Travis, Justin, Brad, Heather, Troy, Ivy, Katy, Tina, Autumn and Adreanah; and his great grandchildren, Derek, Remington, Briar Thomas, Paxton, Pierson and Willow Rose. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus.
