With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kenneth Leroy Roate (Griggsville, Illinois), who passed away on May 18, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Henry and Nina Lucille Rentz Roate; his wife Virginia Lee Dennis; his sister Maxine Crow; and his brother-in-law James Crow.
He is survived by: his sister Marilyn Pool (Duane); his children, Nina Kaye Smith (Allen) and David Lee Roate (Donna); and his grandsons, Robert Dane Roate (Maria), Kenneth Allen Smith (Brittany) and Brandon Michael Smith. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews great nieces and great nephews, and five great grandchildren.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
