He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Freed and Reba Miller Freed; and his brother-in-law Robert Carmichael. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughters, Shawn Smith (Gorden) of Springfield, IL and Erica Schuetz (Todd) of Valley City, IL; his granddaughters, Keely Smith, Ashley Smith and Courtney Smith; his siblings, Roy Freed (Merrie) of Washington and Virginia Carmichael of Florida; and his brother-in-law Dick Connour (Kandis). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
