He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Herbert; his mother-in-law Rosemary Erkert; his children, Christa Meister (Edward) of Peoria and Joel (Jessica); his grandchildren, Glendive, Paul (Arianne) and Gridley; his brother Jim (Lisa); his grandmothers, Kathy Rassi (Curt), Karen Steffen (Donn), Connie Saunders (Chip) and Jeanne Schnabel (Troy); his grandchildren, Josie, Olivia (Devon), Josiah (Emily), Hillary, Jude, Jack, Julia, Hugh, Jobe and Jillian; his mother Christiane Erkert (Ellenberger); and his wife Rosemary.
