She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Fritts and Ellen Fritts (Robertson); her former husband Dewey Defenbaugh, Sr.; her husband Carlton Theissen; her son Dewey, Jr.; and her siblings, Edith Burash, Goldie Chalfant, David Fritts and Dean Fritts.
She is survived by: her children, Pat Finck (Mick) of Gridley, Mary Franco (Felix) of Streator and Leonard Defenbaugh (Charleen) of Gridley; and her sisters, Rena Belle McCormick and Karla Venturi (Vince, Sr.). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in honor of Josephine may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
