We are sad to announce that on September 11, 2020, at the age of 84, Gerald Thomas Hayes of Gridley, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hayes and Marie Connors Hayes; and his siblings, William, Mary Gilligan and Jane Merna.

He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Haxel; his brother Joseph (Rose); and his close friend Ralph Kuntz (Marge). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Social distancing guidelines will be observed during the visitation and funeral service and masks are required.
