Virgil Hammock Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 2, 2021, at the age of 58, Virgil Hammock of Greenville, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lattie Hammock and Mary Jane Hatfill (Auten). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Wade of Greenville; his children, Hazel (Michael Starr) of Centralia, Sean Martin (Samantha) of Greenville and Ricky Martin of Vandalia; his sisters, Barbara (Everett Simmons) of Vandalia, Peggy Geisking, Virginia Boggs, Louise (Tim Borders) of Vandalia and Rose (Rodney Snow) of Pana; his stepsiblings, Donald Hatfill Jr. of Mulberry Grove and Rebecca Hatfill of Sikeston, MO; and his pet Layla. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
