She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin T. Smoot and Vivian Smoot (Clutts); her husband Allan Robinson Alexander; her son-in-law Bruce Bowen; her siblings, Martha Wilks, Janet Hunt, Virginia Brown, Evelyn Bequette and Jerry Smoot; and her stepbrother Joey Smoot.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Alexander (Vicky) of Greenville, IL and Christine Bowen of Greenville, IL; and her grandson Jace Bowen of Greenville, IL. She is also survived by two step grandsons; and many step great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Assalley Funeral Home (118 E College Ave, Greenville, IL 62246).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to Highland Animal Shelter, 510 Monroe St., Highland, IL 62249.
