He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Dietz and Margaretha E. Dietz (Schmalkoke); his brother Paul Dietz; his parents-in-law, John and Kathryn Kelsey; and his sister-in-law Stephanie Rives.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Kelsey (Dietz) of Greenville, IL; his sons, Peter Wende, Hans Paul Dietz, Klaus Dietz and Joseph Dietz; his grandchildren, Timo Wende, Niels Wende, Mainz, Jonas Wende, Bennet Wende, Michael Dietz, Robert Dietz, Stephanie Dietz, Kayla Dacosta and Wesley Dietz; his great grandchild Michael Dietz; his brother-in-law John Kelsey (Ida); and also John A. Kelsey.
