She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Watts and Fern Dalton (Comstock); and her daughter Ellen Jeanne Childerson. She is survived by: her husband Gordon Earl Corning; her daughters, Julie Kay Corning of Vandalia, IL and Gail Wall (Larry) of Greenville, IL; her son-in-law Michael Childerson of Greenville, IL; her sister Myrna Cummings of Madison, WI; and her grandchildren, Shane Cress (Karen), Erin Muhlenkamp (Tylor), Kacie Wall, Tyler Wall (Mandy), Phillip Childerson (Brittany), Laura Wufsus (Adam) and Peter Childerson. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, plants and other gifts, memorial contributions are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Greenville.
