He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Swim and Iva Swim (Ward); his wife Alice Marie Hattrup; and his brothers, Theo and Gene Swim.
He is survived by: his children, Alan Swim of Fort Wayne, IN, Gary Swim (Cindy) of Charleston, IL, Gail Nelson and Mary Dodson of Greenup, IL; his grandchildren, Joshua Dodson, Jennifer Dodson (Brian Akers), Sara Millsap (Marcus), Megan Nelson, Daniel Nelson (Anna) and Michaela Swim; and his great grandchildren, Ian J Dodson, Avery, Hayden Millsap and Sloane Nelson.
