It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Scales Chancellor (Greenup, Illinois), who passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Hays and Eula Hays (Pemberton); her former husband Owen "Shay" Scales; her husband William Vance Chancellor; her daughter Cindy Yelton; her stepsons, Daniel and Steve Chancellor; her grandson Jordan Pierce; and her siblings, George, Perry Hays, Etta Hart, Jo Paton, Helen Hunt and Clara Byrd.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott, Roger and Terry Scales; her stepchildren, Mark Chancellor (Kathy), Tim Chancellor and Becky Pugh (Harry); her siblings, Bill, Bennie Hays and Jenny Hanley; her niece Barb Davis (Brooke); and her grandchildren, Callie Justice (Chad), Nikki Scales, Christopher Scales (Rachel), Amber Scales (Jason Stewart), Riley Scales (Shalina), Hunter Scales (Hannah), Trivette Scales (Autumn), Dylan Simms (Angel), Jenna Simms, Aaron Ghast and Jason Yelton. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
