She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Gibson and Mary Gibson (Kahl); her husband Clarence Maple August; her daughter Janice Faye Anderson; and her sister Doris McDaniels.
She is survived by: her daughter Rose Mary Rives (Robert) of Greenfield; her grandchildren, Robert Rives (Gina) of Greenfield and Colleen Devore (Craig) of Westfork, AR; and her brother Wilbur D. Gibson of Arkansas. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Charity Southern Baptist Church in Greenfield. Memorials are suggested to the Charity Southern Baptist Church or BJC Hospice.
