It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Winters Jr. (Greenfield, Illinois), born in White Hall, Illinois, who passed away on May 9, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Winters (Pat) and Ruth Winters (Ewing); his wife Betty Lou Winters (Adams); his brother Kenneth Winters; and his nephew Rex.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Winters (Carla) and Regina Bowman (Dan) of Greenfield; and his grandchildren, Kevin Bowman (Lauren), Kristi Drew (Patrick), Scott Winters (Amber), Patrick Bowman (Jami), Marc Plogger (Mona) and Melanie Thornton (Joe). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Memorials are suggested to the Greenfield Foundation for Educational Excellence or the Woodbine Country Club and can be mailed to the funeral home at 604 Walnut St. The Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield is in charge of arrangements.
