She was predeceased by: her brothers, Donald Allen and Dallas Allen; and her nephew Dallas Allen, Jr.. She is survived by: her spouse Ervin John "Whitey" Elling; her children, Michael Paul Elling of Green Valley, Marsha Garlisch of Davenport and Marla Swanson (Tom) of Pekin; her grandchildren, Jenna Marie Garlisch (Sara), Allie Jo Garlisch, Austin Carter Elling, Paige Swanson and Alexandra Swanson; her siblings, Luella Essington and Paul Dean Allen; and her father David Whiteside. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
