It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jean Siegert of Grayville, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Scott Broster and Allene Broster (Bond); her husband Chester Vernon Siegert; her grandson Steven Christopher Cook; and her siblings, Bob (Broster) and Norma Ruth Healy.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Vernon Siegert (Dena) of Grayville, Sue Anne Powell (Albert Gene) of Grayville and Barbara Gail Ballard (Bill) of Falls; her sister Marjorie Steele of Nampa, Idaho; her grandchildren, Stacey Nichol Snyder (Wes), Charles Brandon Siegert, Amelia Leigh Allen (Dan) and Charles Albert Powell; her great grandchildren, Cole Wesley Snyder, Ellie Jean Snyder, Kyla Grace Snyder, Maxwell Benjamin Allen, Wren Olivia Allen, Griffin "Fin" Alexander Allen, Leo Henry Allen and Amara LeighAnne Powell; her great great grandchild Evelynn Floweysue Snyder; and her pet Fritz.
Memorials may be made to the Grayville United Methodist Church or the Wabash County Animal Buddies and will be accepted at Cook Funeral Chapel in Grayville.
