We bid farewell to JoAnn W. Gaither of Grayville, Illinois, born in Ellery, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 29, 2024 at the age of 89. JoAnn touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though JoAnn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those JoAnn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forest Johnson and Mayme Johnson; her son Jack Gaither; her brothers, Daryl and Donnie Woods; and her aunt Elsie Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Jane Owen, JoEllen Seil of Grayville and Jay Gaither (Lou Ann Pavelin) of New York; her grandchildren, William Owen, Jessica Seil and Angelaca Gaither; her half-sister Doris Westermann; and her niece Susie Gibbs.
