He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Funkhouser and Gertrude Funkhouser (Nolan); and his siblings, Tommy Lee Funkhouser, Ronnie Ray Funkhouser, Floetta Joyce Meritt and Peggy Lorene Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Funkhouser (Ward) of Grayville; his children, Jimmy Gale Funkhouser, Jr. (Rosanna) of Elberfeld, Scott Alan Funkhouser of Grayville and Valorie "Lori" Colleen Lewis of Covington, Louisiana; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Funkhouser (Brenda), Steve Lyn Funkhouser (Patti), Randy Woodrow Funkhouser (Belinda), Shirley Wynona McComas of Grayville, Patsy Lavern Ragsdale (Bob) of Okawville, IL, Sally Ann Bosecker (David) of Grayville and Connie Fay Spruell (David) of Grayville. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
