He was predeceased by: his parents, William Raymond McGarvey and Jewel McGarvey (Simmons); his son Tommy Lynn McGarvey; and his siblings, Bill, Mike, David McGarvey and Sandra Lee (Richard).
He is survived by: his wife Betty McGarvey (Carr) of Grayville; his children, Tony McGarvey (Carol) of Grayville, Travis McGarvey (Katie) of Dahlgren, Illinois, Lana McGarvey of Evansville and Kim McGarvey of Brown, Illinois; his sister-in-law Marcia McGarvey; and his grandchildren, Ryan McGarvey, Mike McGarvey, Wesley Fuller (Cassie), Shelby Frailey (Drew), Shawna Fry (Harley), Jamie Barbre, Keith McGarvey and Matt McGarvey. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
