We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2024, at the age of 83, Edna Fern May of Grayville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Edna Fern may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bill G. May; and her granddaughter Rachel Short. She is survived by: her son Charles; her daughter-in-law Sharon May of Grayville; her granddaughter Sarah Blanton (Wes) of Evansville, IN; and her great grandchildren, Tenley Short and Holly Blanton.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Union Ridge Cemetery (1120 County Rd 355 N, New Haven, IL 62869).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Grayville, 2301 Broster Rd., Grayville, IL 62844 and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821 who is in charge of arrangements.
