He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Berger and Toleda Emma Berger (Kraft); and his son Kyle Thomas Berger. He is survived by: his wife Sheri Goodnick Berger of Grayslake; his son Raymond (Tarah Berger) of Salem; and his grandchildren, Nolan, Patrick, Connor McDonagh and Elle Rae Jean Berger.
