He was predeceased by: his parents, Verner MacAlister Mahan and Donald H. Mahan Sr.; and his stepmother Margaret F. Mahan. He is survived by: his brother Donald (Sally); and his nieces, Madeleine Bartels (Patrick), Camille Shoaf (Nathan), Hazel, Ellie and Freddie.
