Matthew Ryan Ahern Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matthew Ryan Ahern of Grayslake, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Ahern and Ursula Ahern; his siblings, David Ahern (Erin), Christopher Ahern (Becky) and Sarah Hertel (Andrew); and his nieces and nephews, Jack, Abigail, June, Ruth, Morgan, Naomi and Maeve.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Chapel (410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
