He was predeceased by: his father Moses Mason; and his stepbrothers, James Mason and David Mason. He is survived by: his mother Mary Hedrick of Greenville, MS; his stepmother Margaret Mason of North Chicago, IL; his children, Lashunda Davis (Mack) of Stephenson, VA, Louis Jr. Mason (Crystal) of Richmond, IL, Cassandra Salgado (Rafeal) of Indianapolis, IN and David Schnitzler (Erin) of Palatine, IL; and his mother-in-law Anna Schnitzler. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
