He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kotarba and Helene Kotarba; and his brother Robert Kotarba. He is survived by: his wife Mary Kotarba; his children, Sherry Hannan (David), John Kotarba Jr. (Amber) and Stacey Kotarba; his grandchildren, Michelle Hannan, Jimmy Hannan, Katerina Kotarba and Mia Kotarba; and his brother Joseph Kotarba (Valerie).
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Chapel (410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Gilbert Catholic Church (301 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030).
