With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gladys Rose Zajicek-Ignatius (Grayslake, Illinois), born in Berwyn, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2024 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Anton and Bessie Stauber (Lejcar); and her daughter Susan Zajicek. She is survived by: her husband John G. Zajicek, III (Jack); her children, Janet Smart (Ed Jacobs), John G. Zajicek, IV (Kristine), Roger Ignatius (late Jeanne), Tom Ignatius (Kristina), Jim Ignatius (Dawn), Scott Ignatius and Nancy Williby (Henry); her grandchildren, Mikelle Smart, Nicole Smart, Alanna Tayao (Ray), Sloane Geary (late Shannon), Reed Geary, Theresa Moore (Dave), Christopher Ignatius, Taryn Ketels (Mike), Jim Ignatius (Natalie), Kelli Stephens (Sam), Margaret Lutz, Mary Lutz, Carilyn Williby and Christian Williby; her great grandchildren, Blaze, Bjorn, Ronan Geary and Raden; and her caregivers, Cleo, Anna, Cyd, Lynn and Barb. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
