She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley; and her son Steven. She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Nielsen (Craig) and Michele Beye; her grandchildren, Eric Nielsen (Abbie), Michael Nielsen, Maggie Thiam, Fallou Thiam and Issa Beye; and her sister Vivian Kozak (Al). She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to A Safe Place 2710 17th St. Zion, IL 60099.
