The memory of Edwin J. Kramer of Grayslake, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Edwin shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Edwin farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harald H. Kramer and Mildred Kramer (Lee); his parents-in-law, Carl and Gilma Oyloe; and his nephew Matthew Oyloe.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Kramer; and his sister Connie (Martin). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, as well as his great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (25519 IL-134, Ingleside, IL 60041). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Edwin's memory to Trinity Lutheran Church, Luther College in Decorah, IA, or Feed My Starving Children (http://www.fmsc.org).

“Ed was such an accomplished musician who enhanced the life of so many. He added much to the enjoyment of the activities at both our 50th and 55th reunions of our Luther class. As a fellow native of Chicago, I especially enjoyed the conversation classmate Wayne Oberschelp and I had with Ed at the Mabe's event at our 55th Reunion. His life was truly one to celebrate. May God's peace and memories of a life well-lived comfort Ed's wife Karen.”
