He was predeceased by: his parents, Edard Harlan and Anna Harlan (Bammann); his stepmother Mabel Harlan (Balbach); his wife Elsie Harlan; his sons, Michael G. Harlan and G. Raymond Harlan (Raymie); and his sister Mary Schwartz.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard L. Harlan (Sandy) of Flanagan, Roger D. Harlan (Phyllis) of Peoria, Robin Harlan (Gail) of Danville and Mark E. Harlan (Melissa) of Mahomet; his daughter-in-law Jackie Harlan of Two Rivers, Wisconsin; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Allen, Rhita Wolf, Leone Wayman and Raymond Allen (Nancy). He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren; his 28 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
