He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Bima and Mary Bima (Vacca); his wife Joan Edwards; and his siblings, Barney Bima Jr. and Emma Zielinski.
He is survived by: his children, Jack Bima (Vicki) of McNabb, Marianne Novak (Skip) of Peru, Cindy Mennie (John) of Mark and Kathy Mekley (Jerry) of Hennepin; his sister Kathryn Waldschmidt; his grandchildren, Christie O'Niel (Dan), Nick Novak (Maleaha), John A. "Butchie" Mennie, Jimmy Mennie, Jason Mennie, Jacob Mennie (Lindsay), Mike Mekley, Jerad Mekley (Brittany), Jaclyn Beck (Jeremy) and Jena Mennie (David John); and his great grandchildren, Sydney Mennie, Mikey Mennie, Johnny Mennie, Jessa Jean Beck, Mia Mennie, Milly Mekley, Madalyn Mekley, Mae Mekley and Molly Mekley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
