He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Kooy and Kate Kooy; and his brother Paul Kooy (Kathleen). He is survived by: his spouse Nelvina M. Kooy; his children, Patricia Bubness (William), Donald Kooy (Valarie), Darrell Kooy (Michelle), James Kooy (Deborah) and Cynthia Ipema (Mark); and his siblings, Clarence Jr. Kooy (Helen) and Ruth Schuler (Steve). He is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren.
