He was predeceased by: his parents, August Nietfeldt and Edna Stunkel Nietfeldt; his spouse Bettylou Ann Rasmussen; his brothers, Milton Nietfeldt and Roger Nietfeldt; his brother-in-law Leland Rasmussen; his parents-in-law, Louis and Mabel Rasmussen; his niece Jennifer Wilken; and his nephews, Greg Weber and Chuck Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly, Charles Silcox of Grant Park, Kathleen and Melvin Hoekstra of Grant Park; his grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer Silcox), Jeremy (Gail Silcox), Angela (Donald Harms), Amy (Richard Herz) and Matthew (Jennifer Hoekstra); his great grandchildren, Ian Herz, Aaron Herz, Taytum Hoekstra, Micah Hoekstra, Zachary Hoekstra, Justin Silcox, Jordon Silcox, Joel Silcox, Carter Silcox, Connor Silcox, DainLee Harms, Cooper Harms, Macguire Harms, Piercen Harms and Jancyn Harms; his siblings, Arlene Nietfeldt of Manteno, Adeline (Paul Weber), Betty Ann (Loren Scharp) and Kenneth (Janice Nietfeldt); and his sister-in-law Marge Soellner of Monee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
