With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Roger Atchley of Granite City, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold B. Atchley and Wanda Rose Atchley (Camp); and his former wife Mary A. Atchley (Krauskopf). He is survived by: his children, Joseph Atchley (Kathy) of Alton, Jeffrey Atchley (Cristi) of Lindale, Jacob Atchley (Angelina) of Granite City and Amanda Atchley (Anthony Johnson) of Du Quoin, Illinois; his fiancée Betty DeRuntz of Granite City, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jeremy (Morgan), Eli, Axel, Mikalia, Ethan, Allison and Isaiah; his great grandchild Theodore "Teddy" Atchley; his siblings, Georgia Smith (Kenton), Daryl Atchley (Maria) and Duane Atchley (Tammy); and his nieces and nephews, Christine Williams (Joe) and Laurie DeRuntz (Patrick Cushna). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
