With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Susan K. Vinton of Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Susan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Susan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Susan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Walter and Gloria Jean; her siblings, Jeanette, Gloria Jean Vinton and Ronald Vinton; and her great grandchild Kodi VanVoorst.
She is survived by: her children, Briget Barron (James) of Granite City, Nina VanVoorst of Granite City and Frans VanVoorst V of Granite City; and her sister Linda Siqueido. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
