He was predeceased by: his father Norman Grote; his stepfather Eldon Marti; and his father-in-law Dennis Chenault. He is survived by: his wife Laura Grote of Granite City, IL; his sons, Nicholas Grote (Karli) of Collinsville, IL and Andrew Grote (Jaclyn) of Houston, TX; his mother Betty Marti of Granite City, IL; his brothers, Barry Grote (Tracie) of Granite City, IL and Jeffrey Grote of Granite City, IL; his mother-in-law DaOnne Chenault; his siblings-in-law, Matt Chenault (Jamie), Scott Chenault and Marti Chenault; and his nieces and nephews, Dane Grote, Lexi Grote, Gavin Grote, Paige Grote, Olivia Grote, Myah Chenault, Ian Chenault, Carson Chenault, Troy Chenault and Maggie Chenault. He is also survived by extended family and many wonderful friends.
Memorial donations may be given to the Buddy Fund or Granite City High School Soccer Program.
