With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond Preston Kidwell of Granite City, Illinois, born in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2024 at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther P. Kidwell and Lilly Kidwell (Tharp); and his sister Virgie Staggs. He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Higgins (Randy) of Granite City and Raymond Kidwell Jr. (Mae) of Maryville, IL; his grandchildren, Shawn Gooch, Amy Pittman, Joe Higgins, Beth Levy, Kelly McPeak and Raelynn Kidwell; his great grandchildren, Kristin, Will, Jack, Deanne, Maddy, Morgan, McKenzie, Ally, Noah, Emmy and Kaylee; his sister Bertie Whiteside of Batesville, AR; and his sister-in-law Mary Mayberry of Mt. Juliet, TN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
