She was predeceased by: her father Ernest Bloxam; her husband John E. Mezo; and her sisters, Nancy Connor and Edith Oslager. She is survived by: her mother Josie Bloxam (Butler); her children, Michael Mezo (Sarah) of Muncie, IN, Gail Mezo of Granite City, IL, Lori Kalogerou (Craig) of Glen Carbon, IL, John Mezo Jr. (Kimberly) of Prosper, TX and Joni Mezo of Granite City, IL; her grandchildren, Ashley Oppermann (Art), Leslie Lancaster (Adam), Adrianne Hughes (Wesley), Blanche Mezo, Brighton Mezo and Berkeley Mezo; and her great grandchildren, Addison, Bliss, Levi, Ainsley, Phyllis, Franklin and Alexandra. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
