He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Travis and Ruth Travis (Hickman); his wife Paula Sue Travis (Harger); his great grandchildren, Theodore and Ezra McIlroy; and his brother Philip Travis.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Schmidt (Tom) of Maryville and Dana Travis (Keri) of Pontoon Beach, Illinois; his grandchildren, Sean McIlroy (Carrie), Tommy Schmidt (Lauren), Cody Schmidt, Alliann Travis and Jacob Travis; his great grandchildren, Caroline Schmidt, Daisy McIlroy and Ella Schmidt; his sisters, Adele Moore (Jim) and Elaine Stutz (Dave); and his pet Lexi. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
