We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2025, at the age of 84, Joyce Geraldine Rogers of Granite City, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Mewes and Helen Mewes (Oehler); her former husband John D. Blumer, Sr.; her husband Ernest A. Rogers, Sr.; her children, Herman George Blumer, Mary Sue Blumer and Christopher Lee Rogers, Sr.; her daughter-in-law Camilla M. Rogers; and her siblings, Bernard, Rosemarie, Pat and Melvin.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Jane Averett (Robert) of Collinsville, Danny Blumer (Pat Burgin) of Granite City, Brenda Joyce Blumer (John Sauerwin) of Granite City, James Bernard Blumer of Granite City, Hertha Geraldine Rogers (Daniel) of Belleville, Joseph Lee Blumer (Jacklyn) of Sorento, Joshua Daniel Blumer (Jody) of Jackson and Ernest "Andy" Rogers, Jr. of Granite City, Illinois; her grandchildren, Amanda, Robert, Marie, Heather, Michelle of Joey, A. J., Jessica, Blake, Megan, Brandon, Nicole, Tori, Lacey, Breonna, Anthony, Trinidy, Gaige, Chris, Jr., Kenny, Desi, Laurynn and Jewel; her great grandchildren, Justin, Jacklyn, Faith, Shelby, Makayla, Jacob, Allison, Dawson, Bryce, Little Paul, Lana, Luca, Chandler, Emmett, Lynnen, Avery, Dakota, Zander and Jaxson; and her sister Bernice Tedesco. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Clark Avenue Church of Christ (2130 Clark Ave, Granite City, IL 62040).
