He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Eldo" Buchanan and Maudie Mae Buchanan (Hopper); his wife Georgia Lee Buchanan (Curtis); and his siblings, Lucille Wilson, Maxine Hopkins, Bertha Coxsey, Elsie Benedict, Alberta "Birdie" Mitchum, Elmer Buchanan and Margaret Graham.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Buchanan (Rene Sharp) of Granite City and Tracy Patterson (Kevin) of Edwardsville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Haleigh Haberberger (Jeff), Taylor Buchanan, Maddi Abegg (Austin) and Riley Patterson (Claire); his great grandchildren, Quinn and Brooks Haberberger; and his sister Christine Masterson (Clint). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
