He was predeceased by: his son Charles Martin Capela; and his brothers, Martin Capela, Jr and Mike Capela. He is survived by: his spouse Fe Formentera; his children, Shari Johnson (Steve) of Granite City, IL, Julie Capela of Granite City, IL and George Capela, Jr of Granite City, IL; and his sisters, Zuzu Capela of Serbia and Maria Kovar. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
